Win! Tickets to top Abba tribute show Thank You For The Music

A red-letter day in music is being celebrated in Mansfield on 6th April.

On that night, in 1974, before 125 million TV viewers, the Swedish entry for the 19th annual Eurovision Song Contest was four sequin-clad singers with a song called Waterloo.

By the end of the evening the musical phenomenon that was Abba was born.

And now, the tribute show Thank You for The Music is touring the UK and comes to Mansfield’s Palace Theatre on the 40th anniversary of Abba’s astonishing entry into the music world.

And we have one pair of tickets to give away for the show.

Their Eurovision win catapulted Abba to worldwide fame.

Waterloo was to be the first of nine number one singles for the group and they also had nine chart-topping albums and 19 top 20 singles in the UK.

Thank You for the Music revives all of Abba’s hits, including Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Mamma Mia, Thank You for the Music, Take A Chance on Me and, of course, Waterloo.

Thank you For The Music is at The Palace Theatre in Mansfield on Sunday, 6th April at 7.30pm.

Tickets priced £19.99 (£18.96 concessions) are available now from the box office on 01623 633133 or visit www.mansfield.gov.uk/palacetheatre or www.easytheatres.com
