Win! Tickets to see Hue & Cry in Sheffield
Acclaimed pop duo Hue & Cry are back on the road this year with their full-band show The Hits and More.
Brothers Pat and Greg Kane and their band will be at Sheffield’s O2 Academy on 22nd August.
And we have a pair of tickets to give away for the show.
Hue & Cry burst onto the UK music scene in the late 1980s with the albums Seduced & Abandoned, Remote and Stars Crash Down.
This period saw the band produce some of their most auspicious hit singles such as Labour of Love, Violently, and Looking for Linda.
After a break, the band made a triumphant return in 2008 with well-received album Open Soul, and a tour.
In 2012 they released the album Hot Wire which featured a collection of brand new material inspired by the sounds of New Orleans funk and blended sharp political and social commentary with harmonies and funk rhythms.
The success of the album lead to a high profile tour which included the Isle of Wight Festival as well as appearances with Jools Holland, for his BBC Radio 2 programme and a a session with James Taylor for the BBC 6 Music 10th Anniversary Special.
In 2013 Hue & Cry joined forces with Go West and The Christians as part of a spectacular, one off UK tour and the album Remote: Major To Minor before a ’sold out gig at the O2 in Glasgow for the Hue & Cry Remote Weekend.
To date, Hue & Cry have performed alongside some of the most prolific names in the business including U2, James Brown, Van Morrison, Madonna and Al Green.
They are at the O2 in Sheffield on 22nd August and tickets are available now on 0844 477200.
However, we have a pair of tickets to give away to the readers who answer this simple question: What is the surname of the brothers in Hue & Cry, Pat and Greg? a) Kane, b) Smith or c) Jackson?
