Save The Last Dance For Me is coming to the Theatre Royal from Monday 16th April to Saturday 21st April.

The Guardian has teamed up with organisers to offer one lucky reader a pair of tickets to the show’s opening night.

Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, featuring the unmistakable music of Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, and with authentic recreation of the sound of Rock ‘n’ Roll, this nostalgic, feel-good journey will transport you back to music’s golden era as we follow two teenage sisters through the summer of ‘63.

For the first time without their parents, the sisters embark on a holiday to the seaside. Full of freedom and high spirits they meet a handsome young American who invites them to a dance at the local US Air force base. But young love and holiday romance is never as simple as it sounds, and the sisters soon realise that while the world around them is still watching itself in black and white, life and love can be much more colourful.

For those that miss out on the top prize, we also have a copy of the Save The Last Dance For Me album on CD featuring original hits from music’s golden era including Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke, The Searchers, The Drifters, Ben E. King and more.

Tickets for the show range from £33 to £12.50. To buy call the box office on 0115 989 5555.
