WIN! Tickets to acclaimed show

The acclaimed stage production of The Woman In Black is coming to the Theatre Royal Nottingham on 15th October as part of a major UK tour.

We have teamed up with the theatre to offer a pair of tickets to be won in our competition.

The Woman in Black was first performed at the Theatre-By-The-Sea in Scarborough in 1987 to rave reviews.

It opened in the West End in 1989 where it has enjoyed continued success ever since, and has also seen numerous national tours.

The production’s huge popularity has reached a global level, having spread to the United States, South America and Tokyo.

Now in its 23rd year in the West End, over seven million people have lived to tell the tale of one of the most terrifying and successful theatre events ever staged.

Susan Hill’s novel The Woman in Black has reached an even wider audience this year with the release of a major motion picture, starring Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter).

Stephen Mallatratt’s adaptation tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a woman in black.

He engages a young actor to help him tell his story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul.

It begins innocently enough, but as they reach further into his darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes and moaning winds. The borders between make believe and reality begin to blur and the flesh begins to creep.

Julian Forsyth plays the role of Arthur Kipps and Antony Eden plays The Actor, roles they have played in the West End.

The Woman in Black will run from 15th to 20th October. Performance times are evenings 7.30pm, Wednesday matinee 2pm and Saturday matinee 2.30pm

Tickets are £14 to £27.50 and can be bought online at www.trch.co.uk or from the box office on 0115 989 5555.
