Win tickets to see Jimmy Tarbuck

Jimmy Tarbuck was in the same class at school John Lennon and they remained lifelong friends, he played golf with Bing Crosby and went on to become one of Britain’s masters of light entertainment.

Now in his mid-70s, the gap-toothed comedian has plenty of hilarious gems and sparkling stories to share, which he will be doing at Chesterfield’s Pomegranate Theatre this month.

Jimmy will use photos and video footage to take audiences on a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

He made his television debut half a century ago when he hosted It’s Tarbuck 65 on ITV.

Nicknamed Tarby, the legendary entertainer has presented a number of variety shows down the years including Sunday Night at the London Palladium, Live from Her Majesty’s, Live from the Picadilly, Live from the Palladium and For One Night Only, the latter hosted with Emma Bunton.

Jimmy has also hosted several quiz shows including Winner Takes All, Full Swing and Tarby’s Frame Game.

His daughter Liza Tarbuck followed her dad into showbiz, becoming an actress and presenting The Big Breakfast and Britain’s Top Dog.

Jimmy Tarbuck’s show at the Pomegranate on July 25 starts at 7.30pm. Tickets £21.50. To book, contact 01246 345222 or www.chesterfieldtheatres.co.uk
