WIN! Swing band tickets

DRESS up and get your dancing shoes on for a night of big band swing music at the Blues Club in Gainsborough – and it’s all in the name of charity.

Candles cancer research charity and the Stroke Association are the beneficiaries of the event, on Saturday 10th March at 8pm.

Room 21 swing band, from Haxey, will entertain the audience with all your favourite big band numbers.

Also on the night, Gainsborough woman Carol Rowland will have her head shaved, for which she has been raising sponsorship.

The frightening feat will be performed by hairdresser Janice from Crowning Glory on Church Street.

Many people will remember Carol from her days running the paper shop on Ropery Road.

Ernie Allport who plays with Room 21 said: “It’s going to be a superb night with some cracking music, including hits from the 40s era which are becoming popular all over again.”

Tickets priced £3 are available from Crowning Glory, Connells on Ropery Road, The Dog House on Church Street or from Ernie on 01427 810139.

We have two pairs of tickets to give away for this event.
