The exhibition at Sudbury Hall, which opens on Friday, March 6, uncovers the story of how the First World War changed people’s lives.

Derbyshire Remembers is a project being run by theatre company Fifth Word in partnership with National Trust, Derbyshire Record Office and Derby City Local & Family History Library.

Volunteers prepared and catalogued archive material at Derbyshire Record Office, Derby Local & Family History Library, National Trust properties and museums.

Fifth Word Theatre led sessions in two schools in the south of the county where pupils worked as museum curators tasked with designing the exhibition which runs until May 17 before touring schools.
