Travels Through Time at Old Hall

Learn first hand about what life was like over the last two millennia Gainsborough Old Hall this bank holiday weekend.

Travels Through Time is funded by the Trent Vale Partnership, a Heritage Lottery funded enterprise.

The multi-period event looks at life from the Romans to World War Two and runs over the bank holiday weekend, Sunday 26th – Monday 27th August, from 10am to 5pm.

Victoria Mason, site co-ordinator, said: “The whole family can experience the history of this beautiful medieval manor house by meeting past Gainsborough residents.”

“From the Tudors in the tower to a civil war solider in the solar, there are many people to see and best of all it’s free.”

Gainsborough Old Hall is more than 550 years old and is one of the best preserved timber framed manor houses in the UK. It has hosted to Richard III, Henry VII, and John Wesley, to name but a few.
