Theatrical summer school

THE GAINSBOROUGH Games are coming to town and everyone is invited.

Budding young actors, producers and directors will take part in a week-long performance project with the Shooting Fish Theatre Company.

At Trinity Arts Centre, in Trinity Street, they will develop an epic Olympic-themed outdoor celebratory performance, inspired by Greek myths and legends.

It will then be performed at the start of a family fun day on Saturday 18th August.

And participants will also remain in character all day as the ‘games masters’, holding silly, unusual and challenging games for visitors.

The day will end with a medals and prize gining ceremony.

“This is a great opportunity for young people who love performing,” said Laura Kavanagh, education and community outreach co-ordinator for Shooting Fish.

Shooting Fish Summer School runs at Trinity Arts Centre from Monday 13th - Saturday 18th August from 10am - 3pm.

Children aged eight to 16 can join in for a total price of £35 for the whole week.
