Imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread, Jean Valjean is released from his 19-year term and becomes an honest man, town mayor and a loving, adoptive father - violating his parole in the process.
The relentless Inspector Javert, who makes a decent life for Valjean impossible, consequently pursues him. Only years later, after Valjean proves his mettle during a student uprising and saves the life of a young man, does the ex-convict feel redeemed.
Jonathan Francis and Roseanna Sanderson direct the production. Roseanna is also the show’s choreographer.
The cast includes Charlotte Noakes (playing Fantine), Ben Whiteside (Valjean), Ryan Mitchel (Enjolras), Sam Widdowson (Thenardier), Connor Stanmore (Marius), Aimee Hyde (Eponine), Edward Telfer (Javert), Martha West (Madame Thenardier), Martha Barratt and Iona Blair (Little Cosette) and Owen Jenkinson (Gavroche).
