Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks play to be performed in Shirebrook

Award-winning play Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks will be staged in the Derbyshire town where one of its writers grew up.

The play mirrors a time when telly viewers would watch two fat blokes pretending to fight each other.

Its authors Brian Mitchell, who hails from Shirebrook, and Joseph Nixon met at a local primary school.

Big Daddy vs Giant Haystacks will be staged at Shirebrook Village Hall on Wednesday, February 4, at 7.30pm. Tickets £8 (adults), £6 (under 18. senior citizens). Contact 01623 742475 or 01623 748313.

This play marks the first collaboration between Shirebrook Town Council and Live and Local.
