The Mods march on Lincoln

A NIGHT of 60s and Soul comes to Lincoln next month, for a night of music and dance like no other.

The Mod All Star Band will be performing at Lincoln Theatre Royal in a sixties spectacular on Sunday 4th March.

This is a must-see show for all fans of 60s music as the show will include special guest appearances from Steve Ellis, Chris Farlowe, Lorraine Silver and The New Amen Corner.

The mods will march to Lincoln following their huge success at the Isle of Wight National Scooter Festival last August bank holiday.

Bringing with them the sounds of the 60s, with hits from the likes of the Small Faces and the Who.

The Northern Soul sounds of Lorraine Silver will ring out over the city as she performs her Wigan Casino classic Lost Summer Love.

The track was recorded when she was 13 years old in 1965 and it became iconic at the legendary Wigan Casino in the 70s without her knowledge.

Other special guests are Steve Ellis - the original lead singer from The Love Affair, and one of the original Mods.

He will be playing his number one hits Everlasting Love, Bringing On Back The Good Times, Rainbow Valley and Day Without Love.

Finally Chris Farlowe rounds up the list of well known artists and he is sure to please audiences with his classic number one hit Out of Time, plus the original version of Handbags and Gladrags.

The Mod All Star Band comes to Lincoln Theatre Royal on Sunday 4th March at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced £22.50 full and £20 for concessions. Private boxes are &90.
