The West Yorkshire band, who first formed in 1987, are playing Plug, before heading out on tour on Friday with the “Britrock must be destroyed show” alongside fellow Nineties Britrock stars The Wildhearts and Reef and special guests Britpoppers Dodgy.

The band said: “We’re heading out on this amazing tour with our friends Reef and The Wildhearts.

“It’s like 1994 all over again.

”Totally blown away by the reaction to our tour. This is gonna rock in a spectacular way.”

The band shot to fame in 1993 with top-30 hit My House, from debut album Formaldehyde, before enjoying a string of hits throughout the Nineties, with tracks such as Easy and Bad Actress, as well as the aforementioned Tequila (Mint Royale Shot) and Perseverance, featuring the famous whales and dolphins line, from albums such as How to Make Friends and Influence People and Regular Urban Survivors.
