South Yorks: Lucy Spraggan to lead Young Voices choir for shows at Sheffield

The largest children’s choir in the world, Young Voices, has announced that Lucy Spraggan will be leading choirs comprising over 120,000 children and their music teachers over a 19-day arena tour next month.

Lucy will be joining approximately 7,000 singing school children every night, including five dates at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield from Monday 19th, to Friday 23rd January.

Lucy Spraggan shot to fame on X-Factor in 2012, auditioning with her own song, Last Night, before illness forced her to pull out of the competition.

She was the first contestant in the show’s history to score a top 40 single and album before the live shows even aired with her independently released album Top Room At The Zoo.

Lucy has been in the studio recording her new album, preceded by the single We Are Unsinkable, due for release early next year.

And she will be performing tracks from the album whilst on tour with the Young Voices choir.

Young Voices is the world’s largest children’s choir and has a long standing history spanning 17 years.

Their spectacular tours have featured an impressive array of top talent including Katherine Jenkins, Alexandra Burke, Beverley Knight, Dionne Bromfield, The High Kings, Joss Stone, Des’ree, Connie Talbot and many other established acts.
