South Yorks: Folk stars O’Hooley and Tidow are brewin’ up summat on tour

Yorkshire folk duo, Belinda O’Hooley and Heidi Tidow are going on a tour with a difference this autumn to celebrate their love of real ale.

The Summat’s Brewin’ tour will see the pair playing 30 gigs in 30 real ale venues.

With a personal invite from Billy Bragg to play Glastonbury, sessions on BBC 6 Music and Radio 2, their album The Hum being named as one of Mojo’s Top 10 Folk Albums of 2014 and a nomination for Best Duoat this year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, O’Hooley & Tidow have had a memorable year.

Known for their exquisite harmonies, sublime musicality and cheeky northern banter, the duo will perform a new show of contemporary and traditional drinking songs in celebration of real ale, real music and real people in really intimate venues.

They will be at the Brewery & Tap in Doncaster on 5th September, the Old Ship in Lowdham on 16th September and Shakespeare’s in Sheffield on 25th October.
