Shazia Mirza visits Kirton

Funhouse Comedy brings another exciting night of comedy to The George, Kirton-in-Lindsey on Sunday 26th February.

Headliner is Shazia Mirza an international award-winning comedian and columnist for the Guardian Weekend magazine who has also guested on Have I Got News For You?

From Birmingham she was previously a science teacher with one of her former pupils being the rapper Dizzee Rascal.

Star of radio and TV she has appeared on Last Comic Standing, Richard and Judy and more recently The Wright Stuff.

Shazia’s distinctive act combines a deadpan delivery with observation on her world.

Her laconic one-liners represent something quite unique in modern comedy.

Supporting is the gregarious and enthusiastic Liverpudlian Brendan Riley.

Comedy, acting and track racing are just some of his talents having also produced a series of documentaries on his second love, motorbikes.

His instant affinity with his audiences paves the way for his hilarious storytelling and inspired improvisation.

Completing the line-up is ditzy and charming Hull girl Lucy Beaumont.

Compere for the night will be the friendly and energetic Spiky Mike.

The doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start. Tickets are £8 in advance. For more information and to book tickets visit www.funhousecomedy.co.uk
