Rotary pedal cars plan

FAMILIES are guaranteed hours of fun as plans for Gainsborough Rotary Club Pedal Car Grand-Prix take shape.

The event is on Sunday 12th August 2012 at Queen Elizabeth’s High School.

Fifteen new cars have been bought and converted for maximum safety for drivers and members of the public.

Teams of ten will compete for first, second and third place prizes, fastest lap and best dressed team and car.

There will also be a six-a-side football tournament, stalls, exhibitions, children’s fair and games.

Organisers also hope to get a hot air balloon, a police car simulator, a Formula 1 racing car and sports cars.

The event kicks off at 11am with practice laps before the main event at 2pm. Hot food is served from 9am and a beer tent will be open all day. Entrance and parking are free.
