Retford: Return to the days of 1940s variety at the Majestic theatre

Groovy Gazza Productions will be returning to the Retford Majestic in March with their show A Salute to the 1940s.

The show was at the Majestic last year and was a big hit with the fans of 1940ʼs variety.

Since then, the group have been travelling all over the UK and performing at various venues and events.

And group member Lorrie Brown has won a national award for her tribute to Dame Vera Lynn.

She was voted the UK’s top Vera Lynn tribute by the Entertainments Association of Great Britain and collected her award at the Garrick Theatre in Lichfield.

Lorrie will be performing her tribute in the show along with tributes to George Formby, Gracie Fields, The Andrews Sisters and Frank Sinatra.

The show takes place on Saturday, 22nd March at 2pm.
