Retford: Celebrate the legend that is John Denver at the Majestic

Starring Wayne Denton, A Celebration of John Denver is a journey through the career of one of the great singer-songwriters of the 20th Century with hits like Annie’s Song, Leaving on a Jet Plane, Rocky Mountain High and Take Me Home Country Roads.

Throughout his career John Denver racked up an impressive 41 albums, two Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two Country Music Association Awards, an Academy of Country Music and an Emmy Award.

He was also one of the first artists to sell more than 10 millions copies for his Greatest Hits album in 1973 and his song Rocky Mountain High was declared the official song of the State of Colorado in 2007.

Wayne Denton’s tribute show is on Friday, October 30 at 7.30pm.
