‘Big John’ Zhang Ling has been a prominent musician in his native China since playing bass with the most famous rock musician Cui Jian in the 1980s.He has gone on to reinvent himself as the ‘Godfather of Blues’.

Also from China is Li Qi, winner of the nation’s Voice In A Million, based on The Voice format.

The Oisoi Music Festival at Sheffield City Hall on Saturday, April 25, will see both performing alongside British blues outfit The Trevor Sewell Band.
