The tour announcement comes on the back of the release of his live DVD and album, Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks, and his critically-acclaimed 2013 album Different Shades of Blue.

Bonamassa will perform songs from that record and his other his classic albums including Sloe Gin, Dust Bowl, The Ballad of John Henry, Driving Towards The Daylight.

As he approaches his 26th year as a professional musician, Bonamassa, continues to blaze a remarkably versatile artistic trail, and amass an authentic, innovative and soulful body of work.

His career began onstage opening for B.B. King in 1989, when he was only 12 years old.

Today, he is hailed worldwide as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation, and is an ever-evolving singer-songwriter who has released 15 solo albums in the last 13 years, all on his own label, J&R Adventures.

Speaking about Different Shades of Blues, Bonamassa said: “It had been a while since I’d been involved in the writing on an entire album..”

“So I decided I wanted to make a completely original blues album.

“I really had to push myself to make everything I do better than the last project.”

“I know the fans expected it and I felt like I owed it to the fans to give them an original record after all these years.”

His Nottingham gig is on Sunday, 25th October.
