Morrissey songs with a Mexican flavour come to Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms

In Mexico Morrissey has always been a prophet with honour. His songs of love, loss and longing, with powerful imagery and metaphors have found a huge audience.

Now the love can be returned, with a band made in Mexico City reinventing Morrissey’s songs.

Sergio Mendoza (Orkesta Mendoza/Calexico), has put together a team of musical gunslingers from Mexico’s finest bands to form Mexrrissey.

The group bring their concert of broken hearts and forgotten dreams to Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms on April 27. Tickets cost £12.50, £13.75 (incl booking fee).
