Medieval torture exhibit

Discover history’s dark secrets at an exhibition of instruments used in criminal trials to punish crimes against honour, to torture and to carry out capital punishment.

The Medieval Torture Instruments Exhibition is at The Collection in Lincoln until Sunday 2nd September.

The show’s fifty exhibits are reconstructions of historic instruments used in trials. Whilst revealing chilling historical facts the show is a reminder that torture is still carried out today.
