Mark Knopfler will perform tracks from his latest album Tracker at his concert in Sheffield.

He is the first artiste booked to play at the new reduced capacity The Steel Hall which is housed within the Motorpint Arena’s main hall.

Mark will play the 4,000 seated venue on May 17, having last performed at the arena as part of Dire Straits.

Amid the new material, he will also play songs that made his band a household name. He said: “The thing about the old Straits songs is that these things are signposts for people’s lives.

“Obviously I’ll play things differently here and there to keep it alive and meaningful to me, and away from a cabaret thing.”
