But this show is more than just about cricket.

It is about memories, stories and recollections of extraordinary characters met and places visited while covering cricket for the BBC in places like India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the Caribbean.

Henry ‘my dear old thing’ Blofeld is one of Britain’s most loved broadcasters and bastion of the cricketing fraternity.

He is as famous for his hilarious observations of objects like buses and passing pigeons, which he usually comments upon while on air, often as the bowler is running to bowl the next ball, as he is for his astute commentary.

Peter Baxter, meantime was the brains behind TMS for more than 34 years as the show’s producer.

During most of the time, he was responsible for trying to keep Henry and his cohorts in the commentary box in order whenever things went amusingly off topic.

Together they offer a hilariously entertaining show for both cricket and non-cricket lovers alike.
