Lincs: The Full English are live at the Engine Shed

Winners of the Best Group and Best Album gongs at last year’s BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, The Full English are playing live at Lincoln Engine Shed next week.

They are made up of Fay Hield, with traditional singer and fiddle player, Nancy Kerr, award-winning singer/songwriter, Seth Lakeman, internationally renowned guitarist, Martin Simpson, double bassist Ben Nicolls and two of the most in-demand multi-instrumentalists on the folk scene, Rob Harbron and Sam Sweeney.

Last summer, The Full English appeared at Hop Farm Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival and Shrewsbury Festival and also undertook a short UK tour.

In February 2014, the band completed their group and album double at the Folk Awards.

Hield also gained a nomination for Folk Singer of the Year.

Such is the appeal of The Full English, whether they are playing traditional or contemporary material, they remain a huge draw wherever they go.
