Horror convention draws stars and authors

Hordes of horror fans face scares and delights galore at a new event.

Ghoulish guests including Leatherface actor Gunnar Hansen (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Dacre Stoker (great-grand nephew of Bram Stoker) and special effects master Mike Peel (V for Vendetta, Casino Royale) will be taking part in the first convention of its kind in the UK.

Successful authors Paul Kane and Marie O’Regan, a married couple from Chesterfield, will be among the authors signing books at HorrorCon UK 2015 at Magna, Rotherham, on July 11 and 12.

Paul is the award-winning author and editor of over 50 books – including the Arrowhead trilogy revolving around a post-apocalyptic version of Robin Hood. Marie is a British Fantasy Award-nominated author and co-editor of best-sellers Hellbound Hearts, Mammoth Book of Body Horror and A Carnivàle of Horror – Dark Tales from the Fairground.
