The bill reads like a Who’s Who of Manchester, with a line-up including Northern Uproar, Peter Hook, Stone Roses’ bass player Mani doing a DJ set, Clint Boon from the Inspiral Carpets and 808 State.

Celebrity memorabilia, including a donation from U2, will be auctioned off.

Paul’s son Chico was diagnosed with an inoperable cancer of the soft tissue when he was ten and was unable to eat for a year. He is now 12 and in remission.

Tickets for the fundraiser are £75 and are available from www.skiddle.com
