Roll up for a tale of madness, murder, passion and peas in this exhilarating adaptation of Georg Buchner’s gothic classic.

Dirt poor, with his woman, Marie and a child to support, lowly soldier Franz Woyzeck has agreed to become a medical experiment for the regimental doctor.

But is it his diet of peas that leads him into the forest to murder his lover, or the rumours of what Marie has been doing with the peacocking Drum Major?

Splendid Productions bring their unique style of ‘indoor street theatre’ to Gainsborough with this stripped-back, highly theatrical telling Buchner’s famous unfinished play.

With nothing but a trunk-full of junk, three talented performers piece together a fractured story in a fast-paced mix of comedy, tragedy, puppetry, and song.

Woyzeck is on at Trinity Arts next Wednesday (11th March) at 4.30pm.

Tickets priced £10 (£8 concessions) are available now from the box office on 01427 676655 or online at www.microsites.lincolnshire.gov.uk
