The East Yorkshire Motor Services Band (EYMS), renowned for its entertaining and audience-pleasing concerts, will appear at the Trinity Arts Centre, Trinity Street, on Saturda night (18th April) at 7.30pm.

The concert has now become a regular fixture in Gainsborough and a full house is expected.

Based in Hull, the band will be conducted by musical director Alan Morrison, the former cornet great with both Grimethorpe and Brighouse & Rastrick bands.

EYMS, having been hailed in some quarters as ‘the most entertaining band in the UK’, is to put on a show which highlights melodies from stage, screen, charts and the classics, while not forgetting the needs of those who enjoy traditional brass band favourites.

Expect to celebrate music including the likes of Tom Jones to the Sleeping Beauty and Tannhauser to Tara’s Theme.

Concert-goers can also expect to hear several of the band’s classy soloists as they warm up for next month’s Grand Shield contest at Blackpool.

Tickets are £9 from the Box Office at 01427 676655.
