Gainsborough: Theatre company’s next production features Sweeney Todd in a dark and murderous tale
Gainsborough Theatre Company’s next play will be Sweeney Todd and the String of Pearls or ‘Don’t Eat the Pies’ – a new stage adaptation by Dave Scott from the original serial novel of the same title by Thomas Pecket Prest, first published in 1847.
With a cast of 15, including Alan Ayris, Jason Browne and Eleanor Bowker and the very talented Eddie Panter, Dave Scott and Mandy Austen, this Victorian tale of love, murder and greed will intrigue.
Sweeney Todd and the String of Pearls is at the Old Nick Theatre in Gainsborough from 25th-28th March at 7.30pm each night.
