Funhouse is back for more laughs in Kirton

Funhouse Comedy is back at The George in Kirton-in-Lindsey on Sunday, September 13 for a laughter-packed night.

Headlining is comedian, actor, writer, BBC Radio presenter and juggler Steve Royle.

He spent many years as the court jester at Camelot theme park and has supported Peter Kay and Dave Spikey on tour and performed alongside Peter Kay and Steve Coogan at the Apollo Theatre in Manchester.

His TV appearances include the Peter Kay shows Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy – Road To Nowhere, Stand-Up Britain and Give Your Mate A Break.

Amusing his audiences with his high energy and distinctive talents, there’s something for everyone.

Support comes from Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV’s Show Me The Funny, BBC3’s Bizarre Crime, The Wright Stuff on Channel 5, Sky News and BBC Look North.

He has also performed at the at the Edinburgh Festival, where one of his jokes was voted third best in the Dave’s Funniest Joke of The Fringe competition.

Following the success of the first series of his show It’s a Fair Cop, BBC Radio 4 agreed to a second series, where he talked about more case studies.

A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his 18 years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival.

His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the audience laugh until they ache.

Also on the bill will be Adam Rushton with his mischievous anecdotes.

Adam served in the Royal Navy for five years before turning his hand to stand-up.

He has now become a constant and popular figure on the UK circuit with gigs some of the country’s biggest comedy venues, including Jongleurs and Glee.

Completing the line-up will be the uniquely humorous Toby Blair.

The energetic and friendly Spiky Mike will be compere for the night.

The evening starts at 8pm (doors open 7pm) and tickets are £9 in advance.
