Free brass band concerts at Queen’s Park, Chesterfield

Free brass band concerts are entertaining visitors to Chesterfield’s Queen’s Park over the summer.

The entertainment on July 19 will be provided by Woodhouse Prize Band, which was founded in 1853 and is one of the oldest surviving brass bands in the country.

You can catch the band playing in the park between 2pm and 4pm, weather permitting.

Bands lined up to play on Sunday afternoons during the summer season of concerts are: Matlock Band - August 2, Chapeltown Silver Band - August 9, Ireland Colliery Band - August 16, Phoenix Concert Band - September 6.
