RETFORD Majestic Theatre: Annie. Runs until 7th July. Various performances. Tickets £10 for adults, £8 for concessions. The Mob presents Annie. An amateur youth production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York.

Crucible Sheffield: A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Runs until 7th July. Various performances. Tickets £8-£6. A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ is a story of unrequited love, jealous lovers and love potions that will capture your imagination. The High Storrs School production will bring a thoroughly modern twist to it, with some fantastic dancing routines and a 1970s setting.

ROTHERHAM Civic Theatre: West End To Broadway. Runs until 7th July. Tickets £10.50. Performance at 7.15pm. Spotlight Theatre Company supported by Gillian Banks Theatre School. A spectacular production featuring professional singers performing a contemporary selection of West End and Broadway hits from all the modern day and classical show stopping musicals. A most enjoyable show for all ages, and an experience not to be missed.

NOTTINGHAM Theatre Royal: Birds of a Feather. Runs until 7th July. Tickets £27.50 - £16. Various performances. The girls are back! One of BBC TV’s most popular and fondly-remembered sitcoms comes to the stage with all three of its original leading cast members, Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph.

Nottingham Royal Concert Hall: The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain. Performance at 7.30pm. Tickets £19 - £12.50. The group that spawned a thousand ukulele orchestras and inspired millions of players returns to Nottingham. From the North Pole to Sydney Opera House, via Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, The Ukes of Great Britain™ tour planet earth with their funny, stomping, toe-tapping, all-singing, all-plucking obituary of rock and roll and melodious light entertainment. You will hear music you love and music you ‘simply didn’t get’ transformed into a joyous stream of transcendent sounds and musical delight featuring only ‘bonsai guitars’, a menagerie of voices and warm personalities.

Crucible Sheffield: The Wizard of Oz. Runs until 10th July. Performance at 7.30pm. Tickets £10-£7. The Wizard of Oz is an enchanting musical spectacular for all the family, specially adapted for the School in song and dance. Join us with Dorothy, Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Lion on our magical journey down the Yellow Brick Road to The Merry Old Land of OZ.

Sheffield City Hall: Lets Dance 2012. Runs until 11th July. Performances at 7pm. The Constance Grant Dance Centre present Let’s Dance 2012. It celebrates the London Olympics and will take place at Sheffield City Hall on July 9th, 10th and 11th. All the school’s dancers get involved, from pre-school ballerinas through to adult tap pupils. As well as showcasing the school’s vast array of talent, the performances raise much-needed money for charities.

STUDIO Sheffield Theatre: Robin Hood. Runs until 10th July. Performances at 7.15pm. Tickets £6 - £4. Act One Drama Studio present this very amusing tale of Robin Hood by Larry Blamire. Full of action packed scenes, the traditional story of the legend Robin Hood is brought to life, with the battles against the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and the love story with Maid Marion. A great play for all of the family to thoroughly enjoy! Act One Drama Studio are a local drama school for children and adults from across the City. Robin Hood will be performed by some of our teenagers 12-18 years of age.

Lyceum Sheffied: Paul Heaton. Performance at 7.45pm. Tickets £25-£20. Former Housemartin and Beautiful South main man Paul Heaton will celebrate his 50th birthday by performing his acclaimed Soul Opera The 8th, as well as some of his most well-known and loved songs from his back catalogue in this sensational performance.

CrucIble Sheffied: Shadowball. Performance at 1.30pm and 7.30pm. Tickets £11 - £8. In a time of segregation, when jazz and baseball flourished, a courageous group of men struggled to achieve their dreams despite the odds. This compelling new jazz opera tells the fast-paced story of Negro League baseball players whose talents went unacknowledged whilst their jazz compatriots reached stardom by defining a new artform. Julian Joseph’s swinging score inspired by the era of Ellington and Armstrong offers a lively evening of home runs, peanuts and Cracker Jack, which is great fun for all the family!
