Saturday, November 28, sees electronic dance stars The Prodigy in town, before things take a more releaxing turn on Sunday night, when Mumford & Sons bring their acclaimed brand of folk-rock to the Attercliffe venue.

The Prodigy – composer Liam Howlett, vocalist Keith Flint and MC Maxim – are on tour to promote their latest album.

The Day Is My Enemy is the band’s first album in six years and shot to number one on its release earlier this year –the band’s fifth successive number one long-player.

The band have also enjoyed a string of hit singles, including 1996 number ones Firestarter and Breathe, as well as top-10 hits Carly, Out of Space and Omen, to name but a few.

Support comes from American hip hop group Public Enemy, back in Sheffield for the first time since their smash hit headline set at the city’s urban music festival Tramlines last year.

Tickets, priced from £27.50, are now available from www.sheffieldarena.co.uk or 0114 256 5656.

Sunday, November 2 sees Mumford & Sons arrive for their debut show at Sheffield Arena.

The quartet of frontman Marcus Mumford, keyboard player Ben Lovett, guitarist Winston Marshall and bassist Ted Dwane released their third album, Wilder Mind, earlier this year and, like The Prodigy, saw it reach number one.

And, like second album Babel, it also topped the charts across the Pond, having sold half-a-million copies in the USA already.

Support at the sold-out show comes from singer-songwriter and multi-instumentalist Jack Garratt, whose debut album, Phase, is out in February.
