Annual snowdrop trails launch at Hodsock Priory and Hoptop Hall

Flower power reigns at Hodsock Priory, near Worksop, where George Buchanan is celebrating his family’s 250th anniversary of residency.

The priory, which is famous for its snowdrop trail, will mark themilestone with a ticket giveaway for fans of the lwhite flower and planting of a Buchanan lawn.

The priory’s annual snowdrop trail opens this Saturday, January 31, at 10.30am and runs until March 1. Tickets are £5 per adult, £1 for children aged 6 years to 16 years. Click onto the website: www.

Snowdrops and aconites are on show at Hopton Hall, Wirksworth, from January 31 to March 1. Visit the hall’s Laburnum Tunnel, arboretum and wildlife lake. The walled garden contains the Crinkle Crankle wall on which the beech hedge at Chatsworth was modelled.
