Sir Charles Jasper, an eccentric who delves into the occult, is due to inherit £2 million on his birthday and plans to celebrate with a party on the stage of the St. James’ Theatre.
This theatre is supposedly haunted because of several mysterious deaths many years ago. If Sir Charles should die before the clock strikes eleven, his nephew, Maurice Mullins, will inherit his fortune.
Written by Emlyn Williams it is still as powerful today as when it was first produced in 1930’s London.
A Murder Has Been Arranged is on at Lincoln Theatre Royal from 11th to 13th July. Tickets from £7 to £16 on 01522 519999.
