The Guardian's online community cooking project - Cooks Around Town - has now being running for more than a year and to celebrate we decided to hold a charity spectacular.
Ingredients were very kindly donated by event sponsors Arrow Farm, Welbeck Farm Shop, Sainsbury's and Marks and Spencer.
Back in September 2007, the Cooks Around Town (also known as the Guardian's Tracy Powell and Chris Burton) visited the North Notts Community Arena to launch the new digital venture by cooking Simple Chicken Curry and recording their efforts on video.
Simple Chicken Curry went on to be a massive internet hit ranking high up in the 'Google charts' and receiving over 55,000 'hits' to date.
Since then Tracy and Chris have reported from such varied places as outdoors in Clumber Park on a chilly November morning, live from food fairs at both Arrow Farm and the Welbeck Farm Shop, Sir Edmund Hillary School in Kilton, the Clumber Park Restuarant and from a home economics lesson at Valley Comprehensive School amongst others.
Some of the delicious (and often ambitious!) recipes they've tried to create out on location include Key Lime Pie, Italian pizza, Fresh Pasta Ravioli, Rabbit Paella, Chocolate and Banana Melts, Anti-Pasti Pull-apart Bread, fresh burgers, Brewers' Pie, Mexican Chili and Chicken Liver Pate.
And for the year end super-show it was back to the beginning to cook for regular customers and invited guests at North Notts Community Arena on Eastgate.
Cooks Around Town took over the catering for the day - with a lot of help from Arena staff Sylvia and Cat - and sold their food to raise money for the children's disability charity Phab Kids.
And the Cooks Around Town produced a menu that went down very well with the diners, with most of the dishes selling out and some very positive comments from the customers.
