Published Date: 18 April 2008
on friday 28th March I reported a quad bike that had been stolen from my property in Worksop.
Since then I’ve had one phone call off the police to give me a crime number.

I have rung them three times since – the first time was with the engine number and other details, and the second was information to where the quad was going.

They told me they were going to send a couple of officers round to the house, and then get a police officer to give me a ring.

What a surprise, no phone call, and the third time was to tell them that I had recovered the bike (thanks to my brother and his friend), and was told again that an officer would phone me back, and surprise again, no phone call

My faith in the police is zero. No wonder a lot of crime goes unreported, because nothing gets done unless we do it ourselves.
