I applaud the vision for the canalside development in Worksop. This town is crying out for investment into leisure and culture, with a definite need for town centre attractions.
I must admit though, I was somewhat surprised to find myself in the middle of zone one and zone five, with not even a mention.

Whilst I understand that all parties involve will be approached, we have been in the town since the company’s conception over 40 years ago.

We must have employed over 50 people from the town over the years, and supplied virtually every company around the the town with one product or another. Please be more thoughtful in your approach.

You are dealing with a subject that will affect people’s lives an livelihoods. I was bombarded with questions - am I selling up, are we moving, will we still have a jobs, etc.

People who will be affected need to know that thay will be compensated adequately. Even just one sentence would have allayed fears and unnecessary worry.
