Many thrilling, full-throated choral masterpieces these days can often only be heard on State occasions, in cathedrals or at major concert halls in large towns.

But on 27th June, Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir under musical director Steven Roberts and with organist Richard Quarmby , will create just such an occasion at The Crossing in Worksop.

The evening will feature pieces like Handel’s Zadok the Priest, Parry’s I Was Glad and Blest Pair of Sirens.

There will also be choruses like Vivaldi’s Gloria, the Hallelujah and Amen choruses from Handel’s Messiah.

The finale will feature the Saint-Saens Organ Symphony in what promises to be a memorable night.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets priced £10 (£8 concessions, £4 under-16s) are available now from The Crossing’s Welcome Desk, by calling 01909 475421 or by emailling info@musicatthecrossing.co.uk
