Chapeltown Amateur Operatic Society (CAOS) are searching for a downpour of new talent to join them on stage for their forthcoming production of Singin’ in the Rain.

CAOS, one of the oldest musical theatre societies in Sheffield, are in need of new members to join them in order to stage the show.

Rehearsals began early September and the show is now cast.

But they are still missing a a shower of men and a drizzle of women aged 16 and over to join the chorus to ensure that the show isn’t a washout.

Singin’ in the Rain is one of the most iconic musicals of all time, made all the more famous by the Gene Kelly film and his iconic dance scene to the title track.

CAOS’ production, at Rotherham Civic from April 12-16 next year, will be equally memorable as they plan to have 12,000 litres of rain fall on stage every night.

CAOS rehearse every Wednesday evening in High Green between 7.45pm and 10pm.

And even if it’s your first time of ‘treading the boards’, don’t worry, there will be plenty to support you every step of the way.
