Retford: Win tickets to see top tribute acts at Fake Festival

The Retford Fake Festival takes place on Sunday, 5th July at East Retford Rugby Club with top tributes to Queen, The Killers and The Stone Roses all performing live inside a huge marquee.

And we have two pairs of tickets to give away to the event.

Headlining the event will be The Fillers, a tribute to The Killers, who travel across the world delivering their frighteningly true likeness to The Killers’ stage show.

Front man, Trevor Hurley, also performs in an original band in America that is made up of session musicians from The Killers called Most Thieves.

“It is a little strange imitating someone who you actually know and have had conversations with about mimicking them,” Trevor said.

“It is a great job to have though as it enables me to travel all over.”

Performing alongside The Fillers will be Supreme Queen and The Total Stone Roses, as well as five local support bands.

Advance tickets are priced at £20 for adults, £10 for 10-17 year-olds and £50 for a family ticket, with under-nines free.

Tickets are available at www.fakefestivals.co.uk or from the Londis stores on London Road or Wesley Road in Retford. Alternatively, call 0800 6522852.

However, we have a pair of tickets to give away to the readers who can answer this simple question: Which of these is a real band? a) Stone Roses? b) Stone Daisies? c) Stone Tulips?

Send your answer, together with your name, address, daytime contact number and email address to Fake Festival competition, Worksop Guardian, 21-27 Ryton Street, Worksop, S80 2AY or email [email protected]

The closing date is Wednesday, 2nd July. Normal Guardian competition rules apply.
