BEAUTIFUL classical sounds and timeless favourites were enjoyed by all at concert put on talented singers and musicians from around the region.

A Winter’s Evening of Classics took place at Gainsborough’s All Saints Church at the weekend to raise money for the church and the Jumbalance Trust.

Mezzo-Soprano Kamilla Dunstan was joined by violinist Edmund Taylor and musicians Matthew Siviter, Peter Cox, Martin Yates and Dorian Markovac.

Together, they treated the audience to music by Chopin, Beethoven, Handel, Mozart, Gilbert and Sullivan and many more.

“It was such a wonderful evening,” said Kamilla.

“We sold quite a lot of tickets and the atmosphere of the church was magnificent.”

She continued: “Everyone performed so well and with such confidence and the audience afterwards were really positive - even those who had never experienced live classical music before were bowled over and had a great time.”

Kamilla added: “I’d just like to thank the church as it’s such a wonderful venue and the wardens Fiona and Joan for being so helpful.”
