Seventies superstar Gilbert O’Sullivan is to play live at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe this summer.

A star on both sides of the Atlantic, the three-time Ivor Novello Award winning has enjoyed chart-topping success in both the UK and the USA.

After a top-10 hit with Nothing Rhymed, more hit singles and a debut album, Himself, followed.

But it was 1972’s Alone Again (Naturally) that sealed his fame, topping the US charts for six weeks and garnering three Grammy nominations.

Soon after, he got his first three British number one hits with Clair, Get Down and LP Back to Front.

He landed another UK top-10 hit with Why Oh Why Oh Why and his song Ooh Wakka Doo was used on adverts for the National Lottery.

He is at the Baths Hall on 11th June. Tickets priced £40 are available now on 0844 8542776 or www.bathshall.co.uk
