The East Yorkshire Motor Services (EYMS) Band is gearing up for its first-ever Christmas concert in Gainsborough.

Following two successful spring concerts, the band and its conductor, Alan Morrison, aims to roll out the Christmas spirit with a warming mixture of traditional carols and festive favourites, featuring classy soloists on the way.

Tickets are already being sold at a rapid rate to see the EYMS Band, which this year again competed at the national finals at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The concert takes place on Saturday, 20th December at 7.30pm, at the Trinity Arts Centre on Trinity Street.

Tickets priced £9 are available from the box office on 01427 676655 or online at www.microsites.lincolnshire.gov.uk/tac/booking-info/booking/

If you are unable to get to the Gainsborough concert, the following evening, Sunday, 21st December the EYMS Band are live again at the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe at 7.45pm as part of the venue’s annual Christmas Carol Concert.

Tickets priced £11 (£5 NUS) are available from the Baths Hall Box Office on 0844 8542776), or online at www.scunthorpetheatres.co.uk.

Again, this has always been a well-attended concert in the past so it is advisable to book first.

The evening also features the Scunthorpe Choral Society, and the Scunthorpe Cooperative Junior Choir.
