Eastenders star Jessie Wallace will swap the square for the stage when hit musical Chicago comes to Nottingham this month.
Jessie, who played Kat Slater in the BBC soap, is taking on the role of Mama Morton in the award-winning show.
Based on real life events back in the 1920s, nightclub singer Roxie shoots her lover and, along with cell block rival and double-murderess Velma, they fight to avoid death row with the help of smooth talking lawyer, Billy.
The score is sexy and sassy and includes All That Jazz and Razzle Dazzle.
Winner of six Tony, two Olivier, one Grammy, two Bafta and six Academy Awards, the show is at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall from August 15 to August 20.
Tickets are £18 to £39.50 on 0115 989555 or www.trch.co.uk
