CLUMBER Park will be drawing a Circle in the Sand this summer, with hit music show Back To The 80s.
Music lovers can retrieve their neon leg warmers and their over-sized jumpers to watch the symphony of synth-pop legends who will grace the stage in the picturesque hotspot on 21st August.
And the all-star 80s line up will include The Human League, Belinda Carlisle, T’Pau and ABC.
It’ll be nostalgia all the way as the hits come tumbling out, including Don’t You Want Me, Poison Arrow, Heaven is a Place On Earth, Heaven Is A Place On Earth and China in Your Hand.
As usual, festival goers can bring along their picnic hampers for a summer outdoor party ‘par excellence’.
Chris Bailey, event manager for IML Concerts said: ”We are thrilled to be bringing this hit show to Clumber Park and following on from the huge demand for tickets already made we are very confident that the show will sell out quickly.”
“The concert will be picnic-style so we encourage everyone to bring their own food and drink, although there will be catering outlets on site.”
This is not the first time the UK has seen comebacks from the likes of 80s chart topper Belinda Carlisle.
The multi-decade spanning artist released her seventh album Voil in 2007, which was her first full-length, solo studio album in more than 10 years.
The Dancing with the Stars diva, also recently toured as part of the Regeneration tour in the US, and the Here and Now tour in the UK and Ireland in 2008.
Meanwhile bill-toppers The Human League will bring the biggest roster of hits to the leafy confines of Clumber.
The band scored heavily with such familiar 80s anthems as Don’t You Want Me, Sound Of The Crowd, Mirror Man, Louise and Keep Feeling Fascination, and have a huge following here in their home-town area.
They will entertain the Worksop crowd fresh after performing at the popular V Festival and The Evolution Festival in Newcastle.
Not forgetting ABC, with Martin Fry in his gold lame suit, running through such classics as Poison Arrow, All Of My Heart and The Look Of Love.
The evening of fun will begin when the gates open at 5pm, and the programme starts from 7.30pm.
And once again, the evening will close with a huge firework display over the lakes. Tickets are 30, available from IML Concerts on 01603 660444 or on-line at www.imlconcerts.co.uk.
