Featuring classic hits from the 1950s and 1960s, the show is a nostalgic blast from the past that takes the audience on a swinging trip back in time to the golden decades of classic pop.

Huge hits from the likes of Elvis, Cliff and The Shadows, Dusty, The Beatles, Cilla, The Monkees, The Supremes, Roy Orbison, Connie Francis, The Everly Brothers and many others are performed by The Fugivites, one of the country’s best nostalgia bands, along with female duo The Tiffany Girls and vocalist Ash Denver.

And hosting it all will David Hamilton, a regular host on Of The Pops in the 1970s, and a man who has presented more than 12,000 radio shows for more than 1,000 TV shows mainly for BBC and ITV.

At his peak in the mid-1970s his BBC Radio 2 afternoon show drew the biggest audiences of the day.

He acquired his nickname ‘Diddy’ when playing Ken Dodd’s straight man in a 1960s TV series.

He said: I’m really thrilled to be on stage with such a hugely talented group of people.

“The aim is to give audiences an exciting night of nostalgia, humour and some of the best music ever made

“I can’t think of anything better.”

The show is at Trinity Arts Centre on Saturday, July 30 aat 7.30pm.
