RACLEINE: Tip of the Day Monday 11th February

The successful run of SIX FOR THE WEEKEND came to an end on Saturday. But TIP OF THE DAY delivered the goods with two winners over the weekend. Here is today’s selection:

Monday February 11

BALDING BANKER

Catterick 3.10 WIN

This seven-year-old son of Accordion was no mug in Bumpers and novice hurdles for champion trainer Paul Nicholls. Indeed he wasn’t far behind the ill-fated Darlan in a race at Cheltenham 14 months ago. Now with Ferdy Murphy, he’s plying his trade as a prospective staying chaser, and could be ready to strike after three promising runs. He’s certainly bred for the job because he’s related to high-class jumpers Fiveforthree and Celestial Gold, and even hails from the family of the great L’Escargot, winner of both the Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Grand National in the 1970s.

YESTERDAY: THE LIQUIDATOR WON (1/4)

SATURDAY: MA FILLEULE WON (7/4 but 4/1 when advised)

FRIDAY: MASTER MALT 2ND

THURSDAY: PINE CREEK WON

WEDNESDAY: EDUARD WON

TIP OF THE DAY IS SUPPLIED BY SCOOP RACING (RICHARD SILVERWOOD).
